hi. im going to japantown tomorrow to look for fans, if you guys need anything just text or call me since my phone broke, i lost your numbers. my manager said that he might have some fans at home so he's bringing them to work on friday for me to see, (also in case i dont find any at japantown). and if neither works out, ill try to go to chinatown on saturday. oh and actually we can make small fans from paper, i found a random small paper fan at work, and we can use it as a guide.
anyway, im attaching also a picture of some hair sticks i have here at home, they look kinda like japanese..
oh and i was thinking for the wall display, maybe we can buy/make a large wooden frame with hollow body and just put the kimono, fan, cherry blossom and maybe a scroll in the middle of the frame(inside, in a sense). so that its easy and simple.

ReplyDeleteI like the idea of making paper fans. Maybe we can re-create in various sizes, material, colors. Can you post an image of your friends paper fan and maybe a brief description of what steps you think we can follow to accomplish this?
I'd like to try it out to see how easy or not so easy it actually would be.
