Globe

Update on the Globes

I tried to use paper mache to make some sort of globe to hang from the ceiling but it just does not look right...

instead, i am thinking of buying round paper lanterns in several sizes and painting vintage looking continents onto them. We can arrange them tightly so that they don't look so random, and we can even plug them in to give a soft glow to the window.

I am thinking lanterns like those above. Please let me know if you like the idea or have any concerns, otherwise i'll start working on this right away!

Also, Happy Easter!

Project BIRDS

WINDOW INSPIRATION for ANTHRO

I chose to share these few images since I like the application of hanging, draping, and patterns in motion re-created by pulling props in opposite directions. I like the "cut-out" props and real-to-life prop usage such as the hammock. We could really get carried away creating an entire scene, kinda like a set, just around a hammock.

When I think of Anthropologie I instantly think to myself shabby chic, but so much more. Anthropologie's aesthetic quality combines vintage, luxurious, simple, soft, classic, warm, a little bit country with a twist of old world charm. Anthropologie's visual environment always seems to appear entricate yet effortless, and truly beautiful in many ways.

What I notice most beautiful about Anthropologie display style is that there is always an element of one object, in varies shapes and sizes, that creates a dramatic variation by being bunched together, gathered up, or clustered about. These forms are always plush, soft, and have a pop of color. Anthropologie style is always to build up to, over, and around a specific focal point.

Anthropologie inspiration pics.

These are my four favorite Anthro. displays that I found online. I'll bring copies to the meeting.

Found Receipts

Hey Audra,

I finally found my two other receipts for th
e Birds project... I so thought I had lost them. I dont have a scanner so I took a photo of them, I will bring the originals tomorrow night.
This one is 10.06 for the nests from The Animal Connection.
blurry, sorry but it's 17.08 from Terrasol for the birds.

Is there anyway these can be worked into the sheet for tomorrow?? Or should they be counted in next week?
