so I went to some thrift stores today and I didn't have any luck finding frames. Has anyone else been able to find some? Maybe we can just use the corners that Larice has if no one has found any whole frames...
I've been thinking about our concept of wigs with tea cups and dinnerware and I was thinking what if we just had tea cups tied on string hanging in the frames and we could be selling tea? So it would link into geisha because of the tea ceremony and we could have the background be like a japanese print? Unless if anyone has had luck finding affordable wigs... but I know I haven't and I don't see any posts about it so I was just assuming.. anyway, I'm going to look for frames again tomorrow but I just wanted to keep everyone updated on my progress of what I've been finding..

Just want to touch base with you as well. Let you know I am back online after two days of no internet, packing, and moving. I have more cleaning to do at my old apartment in the morning, but will be focused on the wall once again tomorrow night. Thanks for taking time this weekend to hunt for materials. And, thanks for keeping us posted.Sounds like Audra found some good stuff today. I have volunteered to spray paint what items need it.

ReplyDeleteI was going to look for frames, but was told someone else had found some? i did look for wigs though... i found some half decent long black wigs retailing for about 35 dollars. I like the idea of the hanging teacups you described... but please, let's re-focus on one concept and set of materials and MAKE that work.
