Egg ideas

Gold leafing eggs would be a great way to bring in the metalic accent colors that we want.  Before I buy the supplies I need to know how many I should make.  Will this be used for only one cube or for all?

  1. maybe we can make one of this and put it in one cube..just put something on the top of the eggs and put something around the basket maybe?

  4. I posted the dimensions of the cubes, but hard to say how many to put in each. Are you using real (hallowed out) or fake eggs?? How big will they be? Post and maybe we can work with idea in more detail.

What metallic color will you be using??

  5. I thought to blow out the eggs but now that you mention fake... that's not a bad idea because they'd be less fragile. The gold leafing should stick to any type of material. I'm going to the craft store Sun. to check out the colors...I think they'll have a few ...silver, gold, copper

  6. Wait a sec..I thought we were using pink, yellow, and turquoise for color. Won't the gold or copper clash? I think if the only other option is silver, then that is best. A silver like slate or similar to what might create smokey eyes is what I imagined.

  7. I'll see what I could find at the store today. I know what our main colors are...but I also remember us talking about using splashes of metalic contrasts. You never know...maybe I'll find pink, yellow and turq., metalic leafing.

  8. I looked up the 3 pantone colors for spring 2009 so that we're on the same page.

    Fuchsia Red (Pantone 18-2328)

    Palace Blue (Pantone 18-4043)

    Super Lemon (Pantone 14-0754)
