Hey, I used the silver things and rolled them with film negatives. I have quite a bit of unused 35mm film to form flowers out of, but I'm still debating what to use as a stem... ideas? As far as the base coverings I was thinking of using BW prints of photos. These have a good resolution, so printing them out big should be easy. Again, just an idea, anything more creative would be great.

Flowers/ Film
I have 3 ideas to work w. 1 for each cube.
1) make flowers out of 35 mm film
2) make flowers out of the actual rolls
3) make flowers out of printed pictures
Does any one have old rolls that we can take apart? We need to go light on the $$ this time becuase we went way way over for the table. Lets try not to spend any $...It will be a challenge that will pay back. Ask all co-workers, friends and family for film.
The attached picture isnt what I was picturing exactly but it was the only pic I could find that was similar.

PAPER Flowers
Just some examples of paper flowers we can all make. I have the dimensions of small cubes approx. 10"x10"x10". So how are we going to go out with a bang?? I like the idea of black and white kinda like a play on "New Years Eve" but need to develop this more. Thoughts anyone?? It is our FINAL DISPLAY!!

table setting
The red fabric and frame could be use to cover the projector.
We'll have 2 runners as the placemats. The fabric pictured here is folded in half...still have to cut it. I'm trying to make a boquet of loli popsto put in the silver votives but I think it would help if I had a foam block to stick them in. Does any one have those?

chairs
here's the picture of the chair. sorry its dark outside so you cant really see the colors. but its candy pink (baby pink) and sun yellow. apparently i found out that im not good painting with brushes.lol and as for the wicker chair, imma have to buy spray paint in another color coz white is hard to use, so what color spray paint should i get, green? imma decorate the chair probably tomorrow after work. il try to go home early.
larice, i think imma finish the chairs after all. but will not be able to decorate the wicker chair. i cant deliver it tonight but if anything, and if something goes wrong or i cant finish the chairs, ill give you a call tomorrow.
what centerpiece should we use? i was thinking of making that cupcake tree like the one picture i posted or if not, then maybe a large jar/vase in the middle with peppermint lollipops and the small pappermints audra have and then a bunch of smaller jars filled with whatever we can think of on the sides of the vase? im just brainstorming here since we dont have a centerpiece yet.

CANDYPLAN: Chairs and Chandelier
I found four chairs for our candy table. Only$20 for the set. Great deal, Isay, so picking up tomorrow. If you have any good ideas how to paint please let me know Tuesday night so I have the week to re-design. Will need to purchase paint so maybe a few peeps can throw down some cash Tuesday night for supplies??
Love this rock candy chandelier and think I am going to follow as an example. Take about 7 days to make rock candy and I found a recipe I want to try out instead of going to a store.
Again, please let me know what ideas you have because your input always helps inspire new ways of thinking!!

Globe
Update on the Globes
I tried to use paper mache to make some sort of globe to hang from the ceiling but it just does not look right...
instead, i am thinking of buying round paper lanterns in several sizes and painting vintage looking continents onto them. We can arrange them tightly so that they don't look so random, and we can even plug them in to give a soft glow to the window.
I am thinking lanterns like those above. Please let me know if you like the idea or have any concerns, otherwise i'll start working on this right away!
Also, Happy Easter!
